Tokio Hotel, that visited Finland for the first time, is planning to publish a new album.
The guys of Tokio Hotel are in a huge hurry. They have arrived to Finland just few hours before the interview and rushed straight from the airport to an arranged fanmeating. Soon after the chat they will play in Elämä lapselle (Life for a Child) concert and very early in the morning the jorney continues to France. Bill pities that the four of them won't have time to see anything else but the airport and the concerthall. Getting to know in Helsinki's night-life has to be left for another time.
Despite of the hurry the four boys seem lively and relaxed. Bill, who's hair is faithfully to his style pointing to every direction, speaks the most. He has a leather collar on his neck and there's a big silvery lion grinning on it.
What does being German mean to you abroad?Tom: Nothing special. We're the same as we are in our homeland. Though you do notice abroad that it would be good to know English properly. With country boys' bad school-English, you don't get too far.
Bill: German are strict and accurate. On abroad we have noticed that things don't work as well everywhere as the do in Germany. It shows specially in concerts where the arrangements are sometimes chaotic.
Georg and Gustav, are you ever left out of Bill's and Tom's stuff?Georg: We all get together wonderfully. Friendship could never be the same as brotherhood of course. Sometimes I feel like Bill and Tom have a wordless bonding. It's like they're reading each other's mind.
Gustav: I think it's obvious that twins have a special bonding. It doesn't bother me or Georg.
Bill and Tom, you turned 18 on September 1. How did you celebrate your birthday?Bill: We had a great party on the eve of our birthday. Our family and best friends were celebrating. The night's theme was casino: The space that we rented was decorated like casino with the gametables and everything and the guest had dressed wonderfully like the big world style. We served thai-food that is our absolute favourite. The night continued in a icebar, which decoration had been made out of ice, next door.
What does Tokio Hotel's near future look like? Are you, for example, planning to go back to school?Bill: We have made our Europe tour longer so there are still gonna be more gigs. The touring is the best part in our job because our fans are awesome people!
Gustav: Studying? I'm glad I got out of school and I so don't want back there!!
Bill: Soon we'll start making a new album. Yesterday and the day before that I was in the studio where two new songs were made. I won't expose more at this point. I hope we'll be invited for a new gig in Finland.
